Is The Shape of Water worthy of its win at the Oscars 2018 // VIDEO

It’s Oscars week! I was kindly asked to join the sofa with the wonderful Cameron Walker to talk about all things film alongside NTU’s second best film guru Jake Mihailovic and resident Oscar Queen Millie Pinch.

I think we could have talked for hours… Cam asked us questions on who we think should have won Best Picture and I tweeted my prediction just before the show.

All of us wore black as a tribute to the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements sparked by sexual assault conducted by Harvey Weinstein who I accidentally met just a few months prior to the scandals release at a film junket.

Additionally, the winner of the best short film was spoke about but none of us had seen it so I made it my mission to watch The Silent Child and I must say I wish it was adapted into a full feature film. It provokes the right emotion on a subject I wasn’t too aware of.

It was released on BBC iPlayer too, so if you want to check it out I hope it’s still there for you to watch.

Anyway, below is the rest of our talk with Cameron on our Oscars Reaction Show 2018.

Peace and love,
